Galaxy S II sales exceed 120,000 units in first 3 days

Samsung's Galaxy S II handset has reportedly reached sales numbers exceeding 120,000 in just three days of availability, industry sources have told Yonhap News Agency. Although the numbers appear to be easily eclipsed by initial sales from other high-end smartphones, such  such as the iPhone 4, the Galaxy S II report is limited to three carriers in South Korea.

The first 72 hours of sales are said to have reached 65,000 units through SK Telecom, 40,000 handsets via KT Corp, and 15,000 units at LG Uplus. Samsung recently announced that its pre-orders had surpassed 200,000 units,    nearly doubling the iPhone 4's initial pre-orders in the Korean company's home market.
Samsung anticipates global sales for the Galaxy S II to reach 10 million, matching sales numbers of the first-generation variants. Initial performance in South Korea, however, has surpassed initial demand for the original Galaxy S.
